Horan and Little to Team Up Once More
[ Tuesday, 20 March 2007 ]

The dream Wallaby centre partnership of Tim Horan and Jason Little will once again grace Australian rugby fields in a one-off charity match to be held in Bungendore NSW.

Horan and Little first played rugby together as schoolboys, later representing Australia together for the first time in November 1989, and going on to play together 32 times in the Green and Gold. Between them, they have an astounding 155 Wallaby caps.

Fellow Wallaby, Richard Harry, has persuaded the dual World Cup winners, who last played together on 29 August 1998, to join his Silver Foxes lineup to play in the Bungendore Bowl Rugby Challenge, in which The Silver Foxes will take on the local team, the Bungendore Mudchooks. Horan said recently "After retirement I said I'd only play again at the Tens in Hong Kong or Dubai - so Bungendore was a fantastic surprise! I'm really looking forward to lining up again with Jason and the rest of the boys, and I'm sure we'll get a solid hitout from the Chooks".

Of course, the Mudchook centres may need to channel the likes of English rivals Will Carling and "Prince of Centres" Jeremy Guscott if they are to compete with arguably the best centre pairing Australia has ever seen.

The Bungendore Bowl Rugby Challenge will be played at the Mudchooks' "Coop of Pain" (Gibraltar Street, Bungendore) at 2.30pm on 14 April 2007, and it is expected that thousands will turn out to get a last glimpse of the Horan/Little pairing. Entry is only $10 per head, payable at the gate on match day, with children under 15 free.

Gates will open at 12 noon, for Junior and Veteran curtain raisers.

Silver Foxes - Richard Harry, Marco Caputo, Andrew Blades, Bill Young, Warwick Waugh, John Langford, David Wilson, Tim Gavin, Travis Hall, Tim Wallace, Tim Horan, Jason Little, Matt Dowling, Matt O'Connor, James Grant, Matt Dixon.
