The Hard Work has Begun
[ Sunday, 7 March 2010 ]
The hard work has begun, the Bungendore mudchooks started training few weeks ago with the return of some familiar faces and the arrival of some new ones.
With new coach Shane botham at the helm with a fresh approach things seem to be shaping up nicely for one might think will be another successful season for the mudchooks.
The mudchooks have got some tough preseason games to prepare themselves for the season ahead beginning with the second instalment of what will now become an annual fixture against hall for the Bungendore/hall country cup that the mudchooks are the currant holders. The game will be played in hall this year on Saturday the 13th of March with kick off time to be confirmed.
Followed by a trial match against the Gungahlin eagles @ Gungahlin on the 20th of March. The following weekend your mudchooks will play against Braidwood for the palerang cup at captains flat on the 27th of March.
After a weeks break for Easter the mudchooks will be back in the thick of it with a trial against Cooma @ Mick sherd oval (the coop of pain) on the 10th of April followed by the annual Monaro division knockout @ rmc Duntroon on the 17th of April.
So please come out and support your Bungendore mudchooks.
The mudchooks are always ready to welcome any new supporters, volunteers & players so feel free to come and join up we hope to see you at the game.
On a more serious note the Bungendore mudchooks would like to retract a statement relating to the resignation of Matthew Grady. It was reported that Matthew’s wife wouldn’t let him return. That statement is untrue and shouldn’t have been put in the article.
We whole heartedly apologise to Matthew and Jo Grady for any offence and or embarrassment that this comment has caused.
The club wishes to thank Matthew for the two and a half years of work that he put in developing the mudchooks and help the mudchooks increase their corporate supporter base.
We thank you for your contribution to the club and to let you know that we would love to see you back some time.
